Remodeling University: A Short Course to a Better Course

RU LogoIn 2000 - 2001, the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) developed a program entitled "Remodeling University: A Short Course to a Better Course." The series was designed to educate golf course decision-makers on the basics of course remodeling, including budgeting, the remodeling planning process and the roles and responsibilities of golf course architects, superintendents, builders and others. The program has been extremely well-received and continues to make numerous improvements to its existing program.

To date, Remodeling University has reached more than 2,000 people. Attendees range from golf course owners and superintendents, to green committee members, club managers, club pros, past and present club presidents and others involved in the golf course remodeling process.

While certain aspects of future Remodeling University programs are being updated, the underlying goal remains the same: to provide the most relevant and useful information to those currently remodeling their golf course or thinking of doing so in the future.

We hope you will graduate from Remodeling University with a host of good ideas to bring home to your golf course.

"Remodeling University was an extremely practical, useful, and timely event. Not only was it beneficial in providing the necessary steps for carrying a project through to completion, but it gave everyone an understanding of the long-range planning and budgeting that is essential for any golf course or club thinking about improving their course."
